Home Care Payment Sources
Home Care services can be provided through the following sources:
Medicare may be an option if you are 65 or older or have a disability. Our agency will bill Medicare for our services on your behalf and accept assigned payment in full as long as you meet qualifying requirements and the services are covered by the Medicare program. If you have a Medicare replacement plan, you may be responsible for any co-payments listed for Homecare. Click here for more details.
Medicaid is a state-run, income-based program. If referred following hospitalization, Medicaid patients can typically receive up to 30 days of Home Care services. Following that time, the patient requires authorization from Medicaid to qualify for additional intervention. Click here for more details.
Medicaid Waiver, Real Services, United Way, VA, Workers Compensation
Most insurance plans, HMOs and managed care plans have Home Care coverage included. Some insurers may limit the number and type of home care visits that they will pay for and may require pre-certification and/or co-payments. Check with your insurance provider for details on your coverage.
Patients may choose to pay for care privately. This may include skilled services such as nursing or support services for personal care.
Kosciusko Home Care and Hospice is a local, not-for-profit agency that is funded through K21 Health Foundation, United Way of Kosciusko County, Kosciusko County Commissioner and private donations. We will inform you, your family, caregiver or guardian of all charges and methods of payment prior to or at the time of admission.
The future of health care is a serious concern for all of us. There are many unknowns, but our dedicated staff knows one thing for certain – we want our agency to be available in Kosciusko County for the next family who needs our help. Your generous gift will make that possible.
